My Camera Gear

Having suffered from G.A.S for many years it did help me in one respect, knowing the camera gear I like. That’s why when I knew I wanted to start photography again I bought light and that meant Olympus Micro Four Thirds. I used to use mainly Panasonic Lumix MFT but it seems that Panasonic has decided to concentrate on Full Frame with no new G /GX cameras.

Another quirk I have is the fact I don’t really like changing lenses, I can remember a time when I used to carry 3 bodies around with different primes. The body was the Panasonic GX7 my favourite camera, with the 7-14 on one, 20 on another and 45 on the last, great for street. As I’m leaning more to Urban stuff I thought 2 bodies would do so I bought the Olympus Pen EP-7 and the OM System EM5. These are great looking cameras and very light so easy to carry around in one bag.

As you can tell, my preference is for primes, you need these for quick action street stuff. Not so much for Urban shooting, so I have bought a selection of primes and zooms and will used them till I find the right choice for me. I will give you my impressions of each lens in later blog posts
